Stichers angel Swap

I’m really finding I want to get back into stitching again, so I joined the stichers angel swap over at Hugsnkisses  by Helen –due to an injury and then an operation on my right arm nearly 2 years ago now my arm is weak and fiddly things like stitching do not come easy..

So I am concentrating real hard (yeah I know you can hear me from there) and I am taking my time

and have thus far made 2 projects for my partner, showing them here won’t reveal the secret as there is heaps of people participating

P1030511 I guess if my partner receives them and thinks they are cruddy she can always send them back- but I am hoping she will just appreciate the effort I have done…hmm that may sound pooopy to some but I am just a wee bit lacking in confidence with stitcheries..

Cheers Vickie

Thanks for stopping by.

Well, if you are MY partner I will be VERY happy indeedy!!!! You're a good stitcher, you should not doubt yourself. Now say after me, "I AM a good stitcher, I am, I am!" ;-)

Those are both beautiful...She will love them! Now look in the mirror and repeat after me in your best Frank Spencer voice..."Every day in every way, I'm getting better and better." Stick at the stitching. You will find it helps. I have carpel tunnel in both my hands and after an op on them both a few years ago I dropped the needle more often than I made stitches! I stuck at it...even though it frustrated the hell out of me quite often...and now I can use my hands a lot more. *gives you a hug*

Vickie, Your photo looks fab and I would love to have you as my secret partner, coz my sewing is not that of an experienced stitcher -
and I hope the lady I am doing these projects for realizes that too. We all have to start at the beginning and it takes time and practice to get anywhere. I spend more time unpicking than sewing. lol.

I can't imagine anyone being so rude as to send back something that you have worked so hard on. They are very pretty.

great stitching! Handcrafts like these are really good rehab for injuries.

I had to stop knitting when I broke 6 fingers back in '92. Missed it til I began quilting in '94.
What I really missed was my motorbike. I sold it because I didn't have confidence in my grip.
Should have waited a year or 2.
