Carolina Crossroads DONE!

Well I have bben following Dr's orders and resting my leg..and very slowly sewing the final border down on my CC quilt and it is finally completed and now on the bed with one cats approval, gawd she was quick she wasn't there one minute and bop there she was smack bang on
on the bed when I clicked the camera.
1st pic with it untucked so you can see the wee green trim.
Now don't look at the unfished walls or the carpet under the bed waiting to be laid LOL them things will happen it just won't be right away...

Carolina Crossroads -Top Done

I have been at my sewing machine all day-ouch my back is sore ....my arm is canning me..BUT ...I've got my CarolinaCrossroads Mystery Quilt quilt top done...

now these colours are so not me but that was my intention to go totally out of my comfort zone.I don't usually make anything out of pretty florals ...I am happy with the way the green has stood out and I will put a border of green around the edge.....and I'm not thinking about the quilting part for a least another week....

Ok I have been sewing on and off(bloomin arm somedays I wanna chop it off) anyways I have managed to complete step 6...I guess looking at my made up blocks so far I can definately see what Bonnie meant when she said about choosing your colours..mine tends too have gone muddy looking ,however I happy that I have actualy come thus far so will continue(since this is the second attempt).

.resting from the machine now until next week....weather here has been crappy all weekend and we had a huge house rockin' thunderstorm last night ewww...so i am draggin me feet today

steps 1 -> 4 done

Woohoo I have all 4 steps done on the mystery quilt..thanks too the never ending rain and storms last night I could'nt sleep so I just sewed LOL well c'mon what person in the sewing mind would'nt....then I could hear drip drip, arghhh alas water coming in my sewing room - out came some towels(bandaid fix till hubby gets home)..LOL hubby comes home looks yep rain coming in , and he says he will get up in ceiling in the morning(well like it's morning now but alas he has been calledout to work)....but it gets betterah.... when I went too go too bed at 1.15am... drip drip on me grrr arghhh heck no water coming in through the fluro tube right over my side of the bed..so hubby just hauls the bed over too the other side of the room....well dang more towels ....and yep you guessed it he still aint home golly hope he returns soon the rain has held off for a few hours......then I guess I'll be washing a big load of towels.... any wonder I am actually looking forward too step 5 this is soo much fun-and when the darn camera decides to work I will be able to post some pics..ahh life is blisss

Ok so here is a pic of the finished blocks so far--umm yep it's lookin a bit murky too me so hoping next step has more accent colour??? But hey it's all a mystery ain't it LOL

Changed my mystery Quilt colours

note the brights I used in mystery MK1 LOL yep I'm totally going out of the square with this one...
ladybug mystery as I was calling it is still a mystery but will be sitting as a wip for awhile as there was a fabric shortage problem due too an big booboo...LOL...So now I have stared all over again using florals(once again not me) and a tone on tone pale green for accent..so far no mistakes(not doing a happy dance yet)...I think it may look a tad muddy when done but that's the mystery of it all eh?

The Mystery Of the Mystery Quilt

Well I spent most of yesterday froggin it(yep ripping apart lots of blocks)..I think now I will survive the mystery just a couple more days before the next clue so I will be patient(grr) and see what Bonnie posts.

Still not clear

Ok so here I am a couple of days later and I'm still not clear on what fabrics to use for the mystery quilt..hmm maybe this is my subconcious telling me not too start??? I have been looking at all the colour variations of others in the Bonnie's quiltville group -but alas I just seem to get more confuzzled..LOL let's see what the next couple of days brings me...

FNSI Time again

Well it's time to join Wendy and the others for a bit of stitching. To he honest not sure how much  I will  achieve, as yesterday I had...
