Bad Blogger
I confess too using the quicker forms of social media-like so many people nowadays. There is no way I have the time to post something on all of my outlets-however I am here to post at least once a week on my blog. I still read many blogs and leave the odd comment (yes I am a bad commenter as well).
Look forward to sharing soon.

Me
Oh wow that title sure sounds a tad selfish – anyways my life has been about me getting back to a happy place.
Since my major surgery 2.5 years ago and then that other quite large surgery last May my body has kinda suffered and grown some.
Now I am at the stage were I am able to exercise without inducing pain at surgery sites I am going for it.
I have joined a boot camp which has been fun and helped me with techniques-I still cannot run very far and this distresses me some.
Also have cut out pretty much all sugars..
Back on the Wii and loving it..small steps to permanent results. I know I have lost a couple of kilos, however it was the measuring today after 5 weeks that has me smiling.
Total of 16.7cm’s all over so I am doing something right.
I just need to find time to fit sewing into my regime..

Cooking/Baking
I have been keeping busy in the kitchen, experimenting with my new to me gadget that was gifted to me for less than ¼ of the original price. It has 2 jugs and 2 butterfly thingies .(I have textures issues when handling food-oh my goodness this marvel has helped so much).
Anyways so I have made soup soup and soup-so quick and easy..
Carrot soup was yummo and bread/damper was perfect..have just been throwing different vegies in for soup for work and they are yum.
THis bacon and cheese pie was heaven.
Yesterday I made these wee rippers-yummo is an understatement.
And today I made Pumpkin cinnamon scrolls- they turned out a bit flat but I think that was due to the failed rolling attempt-next time I will get hubby to help me.
Mind you hubby has informed me that I can keep practising making them for as long as I like lol..they do taste yummy.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand finally we have a door between lounge & kitchen..aircon should work way more efficiently now.

Sunday all too myself
I have thoroughly wowed my day today- had a pajama day yeehaaa…got about cleaning sewing/computer room..
made chicken vegetable soup..yummo….
made pumpkin chutney using this recipe here
http://gggiraffe.blogspot.com.au/2008/06/pumpkin-chutney.html
Left mine chunky as that’s how I like it..had no brown sugar so used white with a tsp of molasses and had only malt vinegar so used that it smells divine.
Made myself a new bag
have has this fabric for ages and when I picked up for the pricey sum of $1.00 from spotlight curtain scrap bin – I instantly thought of a bag..just took me ages to get there.
Have quilted a table runner but will post picks once the binding is on.
Also made pumpkin cookies but the tray kinda hit the deck so no
cookies.

Away
Yep I realise I am stating the obvious with the title-let’s just say I have been away/absent/otherwise occupied.
Anyways things are coming good now thank the lord… I have been sedate in activities but have achieved a few-no photos they are swap items.
And as one does I have gathered enough ideas/images/free patterns of the internet to last me a double lifetime.
I did make one of these wonderful zippered pouches from Mardi Kaye Designs – Marilyn has wonderful clear instructions-and super prices.
