Away
Yep I realise I am stating the obvious with the title-let’s just say I have been away/absent/otherwise occupied.
Anyways things are coming good now thank the lord… I have been sedate in activities but have achieved a few-no photos they are swap items.
And as one does I have gathered enough ideas/images/free patterns of the internet to last me a double lifetime.
I did make one of these wonderful zippered pouches from Mardi Kaye Designs – Marilyn has wonderful clear instructions-and super prices.

yeah sewing I can share
I am suffering the Blah’s lately..dislike much..today I sandwiched and quilted a quilt top that I made about 3½ months ago..baby girl is due in few weeks..
Pinned it all and then just sat and did messy meandering..I love my $69 machine that I use for all quilting-bit small at times –I just persevere and get the job done..ONE day I might learn more the messy meandering or Free Motion as it is commonly called.
Love the fabrics I used-some of them I won and others I just had in my closet. Now to add some hot pink binding and of she goes.

A4AQAL
Yipeee I have a top..whilst sewing this week to week and sometimes it was month to month as time permitted, I began to dislike all the batik pinks so I introduced a small print pink..so glad I did..
Yeah to tall Hubby..lol..he is standing on small step. Very happy all the fabric used was from my cupboard and I will use all the leftover pinks and piece a back for it,
Big big thankyou to Michele from Mishka’s Playground for sharing he talent and time with us..Michele has created a PDF booklet out of all the lesson and it is avail for a really great price –just click the word Booklet .

bad bad me
Did not realise it has been ages since I posted..
So I have been on a trip to Victoria..took my daughter to see P!NK was a great concert..we had a blast I also drove here there and everywhere visiting relatives and friends and meeting up with some in the 3 dimensional form..I totalled just under 2000kilometres.
Seriously that kiddo shoves the camera in your face a lot. I really don’t like that pink picture pose.
Was very fortunate to go meet this lady..
And went too see my a cousin whom I have not seen in over 20 years-very special.
Aren’t these meals delish looking, they were huge from the Blue Duck in Ararat.
Spent a time with friends who have just moved to Great Western, they live right opposite the Seppelt Winery..man that would be hard for me to take hehehe..
Met Shez @ Such and Such in Ballarat had a cuppa a chat and look around the gorgeous shop and then Shez led the way to Gail’s Emporium …OH my gorgeous..
truly is a beautiful setting and lovely inside..Shez is in the cottage garden threads corner..
There is more photos somewhere, but gee when I look at what I have I realise there is so many more I didn’t take.
Was great time away..and I thank those that enabled me to have some time with them..
Cheers Vickie

My Chair
My chair desperately needed a facelift..I have had this for years bought it 2nd hand from a precast company..so it has concrete scuff marks on the feet-I can live with that..but it also had silicone and yuk on the seat..now she is proudly sitting waiting for my butt…
Ahhh I think I will sew much better now..hehehe
the fabric is a drill with owls and sweet birdies (only because I didn’t have enough chooky fabric anywhere)…
Was sooooooooooooooo easy to do and really took no time at all.
Cheers Vickie
