Still no pictures

I honestly have been sewing but it has been giftie sewing, so I can’t show pictures.

(Have not been in much of an email or bloggy mood this past week, but feel that phase has now passed.)

But I have enjoyed making the items very very much, took 1 packet to the post office to mail then remembered I had not taken a Photo,so I bought it home again only to uncover it again this morning-sometimes I don’t know where my head is at.

Excited much my giveaway item arrived.

My knee has stopped having the cortisone flares thank goodness, and it is still paining me if I am in  the same position for too long, like doing the ironing I almost feel it will remain this way.  We went to the Northline speedway last night as my friend’s son races a wingless sprint car. It was a lovely night out I sat there with hubby and knitted till the light disappeared (oh yeah I’m knitting my first ever shawl, I’ll just jump over to FB and grab a pic-not the best as I took it quickly with my phone but I will post a better one as I progress).

shawlThe pattern is called Holden Shawelette.

After the races had finished we walked back to the car too put the chairs, etc in . Then we headed back down the road to go to the pits and next think we knew there I was flat out on the asphalt, not sure how it happened (my right knee had been a bit sore and I was walking ever so carefully)-perhaps it gave way?  Anyways hubby quickly got me up (as the way to the pits is to walk down the in/out road which had cars going out).

Result was my new jeans have the knee ripped out of them, I’ve lost some skin of my knee cap and have grazing down the side of my leg-and guess what it’s my good leg, so feeling a bit stiff and sore today-but I am sure it will pass quickly.

Cheers Vickie

Thanks for stopping by.

Michael's Medirub is awesome stuff and may help if you can get it from the chemist for your knee. It is sold at the chemist. I'm glad your fall was not serious. Your knitting is looking good. I googled the Holden Shawlette and went WOW! It is a stunner.

Poor Vicki. :( If I lived closer, I'd come over and do your ironing for you. :)
It's probably just as well it IS your good knee. We wouldn't want any nasty germs getting into your not so good knee!
Take care. :)

Oh no! Sending you big soft hugs, Vic...and wishing I could do it for real, hon.
Hope you finally get some relief from all these health woes, and especially that (those!) knees.

What a shame that such a great night had to end up with your falling. Love the shawl.
